“So what shall I do today?” A worry you will not need to ponder. For here, you will find that the days are far too short to do all the things that tempt you from every side. What should one be today – an explorer or a lounge lizard; a wild life enthusiast or pampered royalty. Should one settle for action or utter relaxation – or both. The choices are all yours to make, whether you seek the pleasures of outdoors or the charms of indoors; or seek to venture on discoveries further afield, leisure in myriad forms are yours to partake in.
Activities:
If you cannot bear a moment of inaction, there is plenty to keep you busy. Go on a long, long hike – there are 58 acres of varied terrain for you to explore. If you prefer to do so on two wheels take the bikes below your chalet. On the other hand, you can journey on horseback – our two horses, Sharm and Scotch are ever willing to stretch their legs. For those less experienced, our Pony will oblige at a gentle trot. If water beckons you to its shores, take a kayak and venture in. The moorhens may cackle in protest, but will carry on their lives regardless.
Archery was a royal pursuit, so why not try your hand at it too. If you are not an expert marksman, no one will complain. And if you dare not dream of a day away from the pleasures of Golf, take up clubs and practice your swing at the driving range.
For those who take their leisure in more sedate form, the expansive main pool is all yours to relax in. There is chess for those who wish to keep their minds alert; and billiards too if you prefer it. Read up on history and nature from the books at our library or simply soak up the sun on a deck chair all day if you wish to.
